A sophisticated camera system measures the speed of traffic crossing the bridge, which uses a number plate recognition system to send fixed penalty charges to speeding drivers so beware.

From here you can also visit St Katherine's Dock and East Dock.  This area has offices, public and private housing, a large hotel, shops and restaurants, a yachting marina and a pub called The Dickens Inn, which was a former brewery dating back to the 18th century.  It is a popular leisure destination.  Where as the east dock is now dominated by the City Quay residential development.
