An Embarrassing Story From A VroomVroomVroom Car Hire Customer
The story below was sent to VroomVroomVroom via a customer last week.Thought I'd share.
Hi VroomVroomVroom! I thought I'd share with you the embarrasing story of how I lost my shoe in Manchester and then ended up hiring a car with you.
It was 5am when I work up in a bus shelter freezing my butt off. I was there since 11pm so I must have been asleep for at least 5 hours. I was in town for a job interview and had just flown into Manchester Airport and on my way to a hotel for a good night sleep. Obviously, I never made it to my hotel and the interview was at 9am in a few hours after waking.
Realising I had no chance to make it to my hotel and not miss the interview, I had to face the fact that I'd be going straight to the interview in downtown Manchester in what I was wearing the day before. Luckily I looked reasonably presentable.
Then I looked down and noticed I was missing a damn shoe! I have NO IDEA how on I earth I lost a show during the night. Perhaps a car full of teenagers drove past and thought it'd be funny.
I needed to rent a car and I needed it fast. Not knowing where the closest car hire depot was and not wanting to walk around aimlessly all morning, I remembered VroomVroomVroom from when I used you last Christmas. So I pulled out my phone and booked in a Ford focus just down the road with Hertz. (I loved that I didn't need to bother with my credit car details by the way) I turned up and there she was, ready to join me to my job interview. In retrospec, I probably should have just hired a car with you to pick it up at the airport in the first place. Next time!
Sincerely,
Robert.
P.S. I got the job!
