Budget Terms & Conditions

The below T&Cs (including prices and taxes) are provided by Budget and may change without notice to VroomVroomVroom.

For Pay on Arrival bookings, a fee of GBP 20.00 will be levied where a customer does not show for a confirmed booking. If however a Pay on Arrival booking is cancelled with more than 12 hours notice, no fee will applied. For Prepay Bookings please see the Pre-payment Terms and Conditions.

Please note; At all times all renters must provide the following documents before the rental can proceed:
1: Driving License (must be in the same name as the credit card).
2. Credit Card (must be in the same name as the driving license).
3. All renters must provide photographic ID. The new UK Picture Driving License or Passport is acceptable.

*Any Deposits needed when picking up the vehicle are not included within this quote.

Budget Excess Reduction Guide

VroomVroomVroom does not sell protection products or excess reduction packages, therefore any quotes/enquiries MUST be directed to Budget.

• Loss Damage Waiver is (unless otherwise state) included in the price of the rental and excess is from £650 to a maximum of £950.

Varies by age of renter, location, type of vehicle and rate. Note: ER does not cover certain loss or damage and cannot be waived in full. Please contact Budget for further insurance information, specialty cars differ in excess. Subject to the BudgetTerms and Conditions.

Meet and Greet Fee

Please be aware that you may have a 'meet and greet' fee at smaller airports. This fee is not included in the quote.

Additional Driver Information

Additional Drivers are allowed at additional cost. Additional Drivers must meet the same criteria as the primary driver. Additional drivers must be present at the time of rental and present a full valid drivers licence held for at least one year. Additional drivers are permitted at a charge of GBP 9.00 per day per person, up to a maximum of GBP 90.00 per rental per person.

Age Information

Minimum age is 23 years old. For Groups G + H minimum age is 25 years old.

There is a young driver surcharge for drivers aged 23-24 of £13.20 per day (maximum charge £132.00).

If you are over 70 years of age you cannot rent with Budget.

Cash Information

Credit card(s) will be required for full rental charges and a deposit for any excess.All airports require a credit card for all bookings. The credit card in use must be held in the drivers name.Cash is not accepted. Switch/Maestro is also not accepted. The credit card must be produced at the time of rental and must be in the same name as the driving license.

Cross Border Traffic Information

Vehicles rented in England, Scotland & Wales, must stay within England, Scotland & Wales. Vehicles rented in Northern Ireland are allowed into Southern Ireland, with an addtional charge for insurance coverage. Please see individual locations for specific charges.

For other destinations: renter must contact the location directly for authorisation.

Vehicles rented on the Channel Islands: Cross Border Traffic not allowed.

Coverages / Insurance Information

Customers may be asked to leave a deposit to cover damage responsibility if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken. Damage responsibility for the United Kingdom is full value of the vehicle. If CDW is accepted this will reduce the responsibility to the excess applicable at the renting location. Car Groups A, N have a Damage Excess of GBP 650.00. This can be reduced to GBP 100.00 for a fee of GBP 7.64 plus tax per day. Car Groups B, C, F, O have a Damage Excess of GBP 800.00. For car groups D, E, G, I, J, K, L, M, P, the excess of GBP 950.00 and can be reduced to GBP 250.00 for a fee of GBP 7.64 plus tax per day.

There is no excess reduction available for car group H with an Excess of GBP 950.00

This does not apply to US and Canadian customers where coverage is supplied by the credit card issuer. US and Canadian renters where coverage is supplied by third party (i.e. credit card) are subject to GBP 1000.00 deposit and stand liable for full value of any damage.

Renters under 25 can not reduce the excess. Renters over 70 can not reduce the excess.

Excess reduction is not available for young drivers under 25

Delivery Information

Delivery services are not available.

Drivers Licence Information

All drivers of the vehicle must be in possession of a full, valid driving licence which they must have held for a minimum of 12 months. UK drivers with a photo card driving licence should present both the photo card and the accompanying driver record document. If only the photo-card is presented, a charge of £5.00 will be charged by Budget to contact the DVLA to verify the licence.

Residents of EC countries can use own licence from country of origin.

Non-EC residents can use own licence for max 12 months after entry to UK. Please be aware that the issuing date on US licences will change when a customer changes address so it is important to bring proof that they have held a licence for over 12 months.

Drivers will need to be in possession of a valid credit card in their own name, to cover the damage excess deposit. UK residents should also provide 2 forms of proof of address e.g. utility bills / bank statements (or similar).

None UK residents should provide their passport.

FastBreak Information

Budget Fastbreak services are available at this location.

Fuel Information

Customers are required to return the vehicle with a full tank or the following surcharge will apply, pump price + % uplift per litre.

General Station/Country Information

Rates are subject to review or change within the notice period agreed contractually. Freesale: No vehicles are sold on a complete freesale basis. At peak times, and for automatic, estate or speciality vehicles rental length restrictions may apply. These restrictions will be communicated when implemented.

Cars will have a full tank of fuel at start of rental and should be returned with a full tank, otherwise refuelling charges will apply.

LONDON CONGESTION CHARGING

The charging hours within the Congestion Zone are from 7.00AM - 6.00PM. The charge is 10.00 GBP if paid by midnight on day of travel or 12.00 GBP if paid by midnight the day following the charging day. The fee is applicable from Monday to Friday. No charge will be made at weekends or on public holidays. A penalty applies (per offence) for failure to purchase a Congestion Charge permit. For further information please refer to www.tfl.gov.uk

SMOKING LEGISLATION

Legislation in the UK bans smoking in public places, workplaces and vehicles. Please be aware that all Budget’s fleet and premises in the UK are no-smoking environments. You may be charged for additional cleaning costs if evidence of smoking is found in one of our vehicles.

Rental Return Information

Out of Office Hours – Return

If the vehicle is returned outside of office hours the driver is liable for damage or theft until the car has been inspected by a member of Budget staff.

You may return the vehicle out of hours if you request this at the time of booking. There is no charge for this service.

Special Equipment

GPS Satellite Navigation system is available at this location. Daily cost is GBP 13.99. A deposit of GBP 450.00 is required.
