The below T&Cs (including prices and taxes) are provided by Enterprise and may change without notice to VroomVroomVroom.
These terms and conditions are applicable to Enterprise rentals in the UK ONLY.
This quote will include:
- Third Party Liability
- Road Fund Licence
- Any airport fees and VAT
- Complimentary Breakdown Service
This quote will not include:
- Excess Reduction/Damage Waiver. Please see our below terms and conditions for further details.
- Child Seats or booster seats (can be purchased after confirmation)
- Extra kilometre travel (if your rental is limited, the limit can not be extended, depending on location).
- Any age surcharge.
- Additional driver fees (from £5 per day)
- GPS units. GPS are subject to availability and can not be guaranteed.
- Any extras signed up for upon arrival, eg. vehicle snow equipment.
- Any Administration Fee & Airport Concession Fee (if applicable) will be added to any extra charges and optional extras nominated at time of rental.
- Any deposits or one-way fee's
- A young drivers surcharge applies to drivers aged 21 - 24 years (inc) as follows: £25.00 + tax per day.
* All extra add-ons will attract additional percentage taxes and surcharges.
Please Note: Customers who are renting with a debit card can no longer rent a premium or 4x4 vehicle, a credit card will need to be put down for the deposit and payment where applicable.

North American Inbound
Rates include unlimited mileage, third party liability and provision for one driver.
EMEA & Australian Inbound
Rates include unlimited mileage, damage waver, and third party liability for one driver with the following excess:
- £700.00 for groups MBMN (A group), ECMN (B group), CCMF (C group), CDMR (D group), and IDMR (E group) SDMR (F group), ECAN (B auto), CCAR (C auto), CDAR (D auto), IDAR (E Auto) and SDAR (F auto)
- £850.00 for groups IVMR (MMPV), FVMR (MPV), FVAR (MPV auto), IKMN (small cargo van), SKMN (medium cargo van), and FKMN (large cargo van)
- £1,100.00 for groups PDAR (Small Prem Auto), LDAR (Medium Prem Auto) IFAR (Small 4x4) and FFAR (Large 4x4)
Rent-A-Car provides Damage Waiver (DW) which reduces the costs associated with
damage to and/or theft of the Enterprise vehicle subject to the Terms &
Conditions of your Rental Agreement. Damage and theft responsibility is the
full value of the vehicle. Damage Waiver may be mandatory and included in the
quote. Customers who can provide independent and verified provision to cover
damage and theft to the Enterprise vehicle may be able to decline (DW) The (DW)
amount is 17.99 GBP per day or less excluding VAT.
Airport access fee
Applies to both vehicles rates and ancillary charges. All charges below will be subject to this fee if a vehicle is rented from an airport location. Currently the airport access fee is 15%.
Any additional drivers are chargeable at £5.00 per day.
Vehicles will be provided with a minimum 1/4 tank. The customer has the option of either Fuel Pre- Purchase or to pay for used Fuel on return of the rental vehicle.
Please be advised of the following information regarding Bio Diesel.
Bio Diesel- Availability and Usage in rental vehicles- Recently some distributors (such as Morrison's Super Market) have begun to sell a B30 Bio dieselÂ product which is a 30%/70% blend, with a higher Methyl Ester content. For all vehicles on Enterprise's fleet, use of B30 Bio diesel will invalidate the manufacturer's warranty, and therefore any engine damage would become the financial responsibility of Enterprise Rent-A-Car and if traced, such repair costs may be passed on to customers. It is possible on some vehicles to trace via a vehicle's engine management system or by specific evaluation at what point such a fuel has been used.
Vehicle Return Grace Period
All vehicles must be returned within 29 minutes of the collection time or an additional rental day will be charged.
Cross Border Policy
One Way Rentals within the UK
A penalty charge of £150.00 will apply to all rentals dropping off a one way rental into St Pancras (this also includes all London stations).
One way rentals are not allowed for drop off at Southampton Port (SOUP71), however one way pick ups are allowed from this location.
One- ways between Mainland U.K. and Northern Ireland are permitted and cost as follows: £150.00 + VAT.
The following conditions apply for Northern Ireland:
People carriers (IVMR, FVMR & FVAN) and automatic vehicles (CCAR, SDAR, PDAR, PWAR, LDAR) are not allowed to be used for one way rentals from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland or UK Mainland.
GPS must not be left in vehicles terminating in any location in the Republic of Ireland or UK Mainland stations. The full loss of deposit will apply.
One-ways are not permitted between the Mainland U.K. and the Republic of Ireland.
One-Ways between Derry and Belfast locations = £40.00 + VAT. One-ways between all other Northern Ireland locations are free of charge.
One-way rentals are permitted from any Northern Ireland location to the following locations in the Republic of Ireland: to Dublin = £150.00 + VAT. To: Cork, Knock and Shannon = £550.00 + VAT.
All one way rentals to and from UK Mainland into Northern Ireland are subject to availability.
International one-ways are NOT permitted.
Out Of HoursAll Out of Hours reservations are on request at a charge of £40.00 + tax and available at all locations (except Oxford, Bracknell, Eastbourne and London Victoria RRS). Out of hour returns are allowed at some locations (see Appendix 4). Where a vehicle is returned outside office hours, the branch should confirm at pick-up the procedure for returning the vehicle out of hours and the location of the key return box. All customers must be advised that they remain liable for vehicle damage until the vehicle is checked in on the next working day. Please note that when returning out of hours at Marble Arch additional charges may apply (see location information for details).
Extension of Rentals
Should the customer need to extend the length of the rental, they should contact the "Broker" to extend the vehicle on their behalf.
All drivers must hold a full, valid national license.
UK License: Both the photo-card and paper counterpart must be produced. For old style paper licences, the driver must also provide an additional form of photographic ID in the form of a Full Valid Passport.
Overseas Licence: International driving permit is required with all non European licences if the driving licence is written in a language or characters different to those of the renting country. Even when an International Driving License is required, a domestic licence must be provided. A passport must also be produced if the driver is not a UK resident. UK residents that hold a non-EU license may drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the time they become a resident. After 12 months, the overseas licence will be deemed illegal in the UK and it must be exchanged for the UK equivalent. A renter holding a non-UK licence must produce a full valid passport at the time or rental and the reservation name must match the name on the driving licence.
Holders of any licence that does not show the current address must also produce proof of current address in the form of a current credit finance agreement, current utilities bill, or current bank statement from the last 3 months.
DVLA Check- £5.00 (paid locally)- Customers are only charged this fee when they do not have their full driving licence.
All non deplaning UK residents will need to provide at the time of rental a full driving licence and two proofs of address no less than three months old.
All UK resident deplaning customers will need to provide a full driving licence, passport, and travel documents.
All non UK residents will need to provide at the time of rental, a full driving licence, passport, travel documents, and UK residence details whilst in the UK.
Home City & Non De-planing Airport Renter Underwriting
Residents of the UK:
All Home City & Non deplaning renters will need to provide at the time of rental a full driving licence, two proofs of address no less than three months old and a Credit/Debit Card in the renter's name.
Non Residents of the UK:
All Home City & Non deplaning renters will need to provide at the time of rental a full driving licence, Travel documents, Passport & Credit Card in the renter's name.
For Manchester and Liverpool Airports, all non deplaning customers must bring in with them two proofs of address no less than two months old.
Emergency contact details for 24/7 roadside assistance can be found on the rental contract. Customers should call this number if required. Dependant on the circumstances, we reserve the right to not replace the vehicle and pass on specific repair/callout charges to the customer.
Important Information on Child Seats
All requests for a child/booster seats must be stated at the time of reservation.
All child seats/Booster Seats are on freesale. Customers will be required to fit the child seat/booster seat themselves.
This country does not provide reflective jackets and is not required by law to do so.
A smoking ban applies to all vehicles on the Enterprise Rent-A-Car fleet. Failure to adhere to the no smoking signs placed in the vehicles will be subject to a £50.00 fine.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car vehicles are non exempt form congestion charges within central London. Everyone driving or parking a vehicle on public roads in the congestion charging zone will have to pay the daily charge of £12.00 to the Transport for London group or £12.00 if the charge is paid after the charging day. This payment will allow you to enter, drive around, and leave the congestion charging as many times as you wish that day. Congestion Charging operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:30pm excluding public holidays.
There are no tollbooths or barriers around the Congestion Charging zone and no physical tickets or passes. Instead, the river registers the vehicle number plate on a database for all journeys within the charging zone.
The Congestion Charge can be paid beforehand, on the day of travel or the following charging day. It can also be paid for more than one day at a time by paying for a week, month, or year in one transaction. Advanced payments can be made either online at www.cclondon.com , by telephone on 0845 900 1234, by SMS text message from your mobile phone, at self service machines, selected petrol stations, selected retail outlets, BT internet kiosks, or by post.
If the Congestion Charge is not paid as outlined above, Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be sent a Penalty Charge Notice by the Transport for London. This will ask Enterprise Rent-A-Car to supply the name and address of the hirer of the vehicle when the contravention occurred. PLEASE NOTE: The (PCN) Penalty Charge Notice WILL BE £100.00. As with parking penalties, this is reduced to £50.00 is payment is made within 14 days. Failure to pay the penalty charge in 28 days will result in the penalty being increased to £150.00. Enterprise Rent-A-Car, by law, MUST provide the required information to the Transport for London.
If Enterprise Rent-A-Car is asked to supply the renter's details to the Transport for London, THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF £25 for doing so. This is a standard administrative fee charged to all customers in these circumstances. For convenience, Enterprise Rent-A-Car will process the £25.00 charge on the renter's credit card if available. As a reminder, the signature on the rental contract give full authorisation for applicable credit card charges to be processed by Enterprise Rent-A-Car for all Traffic Violations incurred during the rental.

All major Credit and Debit cards (excluding Solo, Visa Electron, Diners Club and all unembossed maestro/debit/creditcards) are accepted. On collection of the vehicle, the rental charge at a £200.00 security deposit will be charged to your card. On acceptable return of the vehicle, the security deposit will be credited. Payment is not accepted by either Cash or Cheque. All Credit and Debit cards used for payment/deposit must be in the name of the renter.
