Modifying BookingModifying your booking may change the original quoted price. For details on how to modify your booking please click the 'My Booking' tab above. Driving LicenceDrivers must have held a national licence for at least 1 year, which must be presented at time of rental. Visitors to the UK - All visitors to the UK must present a full valid license. Licences issues overseas must be clearly identifiable as a driving license, otherwise an International Driving License will be required. A Passport must also be produced if not a UK resident. UK residents who hold a new photo card license must also present the paper counterpart at the start of the rental. Endorsements are only shown on the paper counterpart so customers MUST produce both documents. Holders of the old style Uk paper license must provide an additional form of photographic ID in the form of a Full Valid Passport, Armed Forces ID Card or a Police Warrant Card, no other forms of identification will be accepted. UK residents that hold a non-EU licence may drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the time they become resident. After 12 months their overseas license will be deemed illegal in the UK and it must be exchanged for the UK equivalent. Credit Cards & PaymentsCash Deposits are allowed at the discretion of the station manager and with a copy of your passport and airline ticket. Apply at reservation centre. Cash refunds are not normally available and cheque refunds can take up to 28 days. Age RestrictionsMinimum age for rental 21 years old, the maximum is 74 years. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)Loss Damage Waiver removes the drivers responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of damage. CDW is included in the rate and leaves and excess of £800 Theft Waiver (THW)Theft Waiver removes the drivers responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of theft. THW is included in the rate and leaves and excess of £800 Windscreen tyres and glass protectionWindscreen tyres and glass protection is not included in the rates it is an optional service which will lower the Windscreen tyres and glass excess to £0. Windscreen tyres and glass protection comes at a cost of £5.00 per day Risk Reduction CoverRisk Reduction Cover is not included in the rates it is an optional service and is available for Risk Reduction Cover Plus1-2 days at £16.67 per day,3-6 days at £15.00 per day, 7-27 days at £12.50 per day,
Delivery & CollectionFor private customers no Delivery/Collection Service is offered. One-Way RentalsDomestic UK Mainland one way rentals are available an extra charge £41.67 applies (not permitted to drop off at Southampton Port), please note one way from mainland UK to Northern Ireland is available and extra charge of £150 applies. One way rentals to St Pancras will attract a charge of £125 + VAT. InternationalInternational One-Way Rentals are not allowed. Cross Border Rentals & Territorial RestrictionsCross Border Rentals are allowed to the following countries: London Congestion ChargeA London Congestion Charge applies for vehicles entering or moving within the Zone from Monday - Friday between 07.00 - 18.00 - except on public holidays. Charges are £10.00 per day payable either in advance or before midnight on the day of entering the Zone. This charge increases to £12.00 if paid after midnight on the day of entering the Zone and the driver has until midnight on the next charging day to make this £12.00 payment. It is the CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY to register the rental vehicle and pay the charge. Europcar will not do this on the driver's behalf. Driver's will be liable to pay all penalties or fines related to late or non-payment of this charge plus a £29.38 administration fee for handling the penalty charges. Extrasexcluding VAT @ 20%
GPS is available at most location for £9.17 per day to a maximum of £83.33 per rental (£300 Deposit). Additional DriverAn Additional Driver Surcharge from £5.83 per day with no maximum charge. Refuelling ChargeAll vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and it is the customer's responsibility to return the vehicle full or pay for any missing fuel at the end of rental. On rentals of 4 days or longer we recommend that you add the cost of a full tank of fuel to our rental charges at time of pick up. This method eliminates the need for you to refuel the tank prior to returning. The fuel amount charged at time of rental will be based on a market competitive price and the car model rented. We are unable to issue a refund for unused fuel. A fuel deposit is not required. Other Fees and TaxesVAT 20% Satellite Navigation Hire Terms & Conditions When hiring satellite navigation, the unit should be active and ready for use. You will be given the opportunity to inspect the equipment and upon acceptance you agree that the unit and its accessories are in good working order and are free from damage. 1a. We aim to provide You with a good service at all times, however, due to the nature of satellite navigation, it is impossible to provide a fault free service. The quality and coverage of the service is dependant upon various factors and may also be impaired by geographic, atmospheric and other conditions or circumstances beyond Our control. No responsibility will be accepted, or credit given by Us for network transmissions or reception conditions experienced during the rental period. 1b. We will not accept responsibility if the equipment does not use the best route or is not accurate with arrival times or does not get You to Your required destination.Returning the Equipment All equipment must be returned to a Europcar Rental Station only. Lost/Stolen/Damaged Equipment You must take reasonable care to ensure that the unit is not lost, stolen or damaged. In the event Your equipment is lost or stolen, You will be charged £244.69.3a. In the event of accidental damage, the equipment must be returned to Us and You will be charged up to £244.69. 3b. You are responsible for the replacement of all accessories should any of them be lost, stolen or damaged. The charges are as follows and are all inclusive of VAT: Windscreen Mounting Bracket £14.69, Vehicle Power Adapter £24.47, Carry Case £24.47. 3c. No waiver purchased from Europcar removes Your liability for lost, stolen or damaged units.
General For security purposes, all equipment (including accessories) must be locked out of sight from unattended vehicles. In the event of experiencing problems during Your rental period, contact with Our Customer Service team or Your Rental Station must be made immediately upon detecting the problem. No credit will be given if a call is not made to Us or is not made until after the equipment has been returned. |
