Paphos Castle is located on the edge of Paphos harbour. It was originally built as a Byzantine fort to protect the harbour. Throughout the castle was used in more than one purpose. It has served as a fortress, a prison and even a warehouse for salt during the British occupation of the island. More recently, the castle serves as a backdrop to the annual open air Paphos cultural festival.

Petra tou Romiou is a sea stack in Paphos, Cyprus. Its status in mythology as the birth place of Aphrodite makes is a popular tourist location. Aphrodite attracted a large cult following in Paphos, which was eventually crushed by the Romans. The sea in this region is generally rough, persuading tourists not to swim here. The beach is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the fresh sea air.

Kato Paphos Archaeological Park is a wonderful place, where tourists can get a glimpse of the culture, civilisation and history of Paphos. There are ongoing restoration works on the site, but tourists can still enjoy the wonderful remains of the old city. There are even ancient mosaics that are remains of the Ancient world. Yeroskipou is a small city located near Paphos, where visitors can enjoy the remarkable five-domed Byzantine church of Ayia Paraskevi and its Folk Art Museum. The small Paphos district is also known for many years, for its special delight loukoumi.
