Le Mans is a lovely commune in France, located more exactly within the Pays de la Loire region, in the Sarthe department, on the banks of the Sarthe River, being the capital of the department at the same time. The history of Le Mans goes back to the Roman times, but the city has greatly expanded ever since. According to the 2006 census, Le Mans has a total population of 148,169 residents and spans on a total area of 20.39 square miles (52.81 sq km). Cite Plantagenet, also known as Vieux Mans, is the old town of Le Mans. The place is incredibly well preserved and has a unique charm given by the cobbled streets and half-timbered house fronts. The Cathedrale St-Julien is also located in the old town. Remnants of a Roman wall can be seen here as well.

The Jardin des Plantes du Mans is an incredible place in the core of the nature. This botanical garden in located in Le Mans and can be visited on a daily basis. Admission is free, so it would really be a shame not to admire the natural beauty of this place.

Musee de Tesse is an exceptional fine arts museum in Le Mans. The museum puts on display artworks by numerous renowned artists, including Philippe de Champaigne, Chales Le Brun, Camille Corot, John Constable and many others. The museum also features numerous exhibits containing archaeological collections and decorative arts.

L'auberge des 7 plats is a terrific restaurant in Le Mans, where you can come with your friends and family to enjoy a satisfying meal. The restaurant is absolutely fantastic, from all points of view. The food is incredible, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great and the service is excellent.
