Collegiale Notre Dame de Melun is a beautiful church founded by Robert II of France. It was raised in the 11th century and from the 19th century is a historical monument of the country. You can visit on near Rue de la Courtille. The imposing church is one of the greatest attractions of the city and one of the most important for photographers in the area who often come to immortalize it in breath taking pictures.

Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicompte is a magnificent castle that apparently is the predecessor of Versailles. It is located in Maincy, at just 55 kilometers of Melun. It was built in the mid 17th century and it bears a classical architecture style of that time. Louis Le Vau was the architect and he worked with Andre le Notre, a landscape architect and with decorator Charles Le Brun.

Restonaute is a beautiful restaurant of Melun, located in Place Praslin. The dishes of the French cuisine are wonderfully presented and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and besides this, the cocktails served in this French eatery are totally atypical and delicious.
