Car Hire Stadthagen

Stadthagen is the capital of the district of Schamburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 10 miles east of Minden and 20 miles west of Hanover. Count Adolf III of Holstein created a new settlement at the foot of the Buckerberg around 1224. Its site near the Hellweg route testifies to his strategic and commercial wisdom. Around 1400 stone fortifications were erected. As in many German towns, on November 1938 in Stadthagen, the Kristallnacht, the Nazis burnt down the synagogue of the Jewish community in the Lower Street, which had been built in 1857. In recent years, Stadthagen has become more cosmopolitan, with a relatively large community of Turks and other nationalities.
