London Eye is currently Europe's tallest Ferris wheel. It is located west of Jubilee Gardens near the river Thames. The facility has thirty-two (32) sealed and air-conditioned passenger capsules. Each capsule is wide and can hold up to twenty-five (25) people inside perfect to view a lot of interesting parts of the city from the top i.e., the Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster. I wonder if you could fit one of our hire cars into a capsule? Please don't try though!
Madame Tussauds is a wax museum located along Marylebone Road. The famous wax sculptor Marie Tussaud founded it. The museum is famous for its wide collection of wax artwork figures of royalties, famous singers, murderers, sports stars and etc.
The Thames Barrier became operational in 1982 and is one of the world's largest movable flood barriers. Protecting 125 square kilometres of central London it spans 520 metres across the River Thames near Woolwich. To find out more about the history and operation of the Thames Barrier and the River Thames itself, there is an information centre located in 1 Unity Way, Woolwich, London SE18 5NJ. The centre has a cafe, toilets, a pay-and-display car park, picnic area and a children's play area. Group talks and conference facilities are also available.
Tower of London or Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress is an ancient castle that served many generations of English royalties for several purposes i.e., royal abode, protection, prison and etcetera. The castle lies along the northern bank of River Thames and is famous for its wonderful architectural style, the white tower, some ghost rumours and the Jewel House.
The O2 Rooftop Walkway will allow visitors to The O2 to see the famous domed structure from an entirely new angle. A 60-metre high Rooftop Walkway suspended from The O2's distinctive yellow masts. The skywalk over one of London's most successful music and entertainment venues will give amazing views over the great domed building, Greenwich, the Thames and the corner of south-east London. There is also lots of parking opportunities nearby so you can still take your hire car with you and travel in both style and comfort.
