Nossa Senhora da Assuncao is an old church in Elvas founded by the Templars, and was completely restored in 1745. Here, the bright white houses have preserved their traditional ovens, and in the surrounding area there are many fruit trees. The church is a wonderful building, erected in the specific Portuguese architectural style. If you are in Elvas, make sure you do not miss it.

Elvas Castle is a Portuguese National monument built in the 13th century in Elvas. The road to the castle is narrow and steep, but the walk is nice. The castle, the towers and walls, are in perfect condition. You can also visit the inner courtyard, which is not very large, but it is very pleasant. A tour guide will take you on a tour inside the castle. The castle is certainly worth the attention and the visit, especially if you are in the surrounding area.
