Teruel is a little town located in the Teruel judicial district, Comunidad de Teruel comarca, Teruel province, Aragon autonomous community, Spain. The city was founded in the beginning of the 12^th century and in present it has about 170 square miles and a population of 36,000 residents. Due to its location, in the mountains, the city of Teruel is somehow isolated of the rest of Spain. However, it is superb and many tourists visit it all through the year. The Islamic influence can be seen all around town and the old buildings are filled with history and impressive. Albarracin is one of the historic neighborhoods of Teruel. You can see it in a scenic location and you can enjoy a self guided walking tour. The area of Albarracin is absolutely stunning. Many of the buildings are still standing in town since the Middle Ages and you will be delighted to see all the little shops and restaurants in them. Dedicate at least a day to visiting this attraction.

Torre de San Salvador is located in Teruel, on Calle el Salvador. It was built in the beginning of the 14^th century for the first time and rebuilt in the 17^th century after a dramatic collapse.
