In some instances, a young driver surcharge may be in place. What this means is that if you are a young driver, you may have to pay a surcharge because of your age. This varies depending on which supplier it is. Check out the list of suppliers that do charge extra below.
Avis: Anyone under 25 years old - $27.50 per day (inc GST)
Budget: Between ages 23- 25 years old - $16.50 per day (inc GST)
Europcar: drivers aged 22 - 25 years old are subject to a daily surcharge of £32.50.
Green Motion: 21-24 years old are subject to daily surcharges - £50 per day
Hertz: Between ages 23- 25 years old - $16.50 per day
Sixt: Anyone under 25 years old - £36 per day
Thrifty: Those between 21 to 24 will be subject to a surcharge - $27.50 per day
