Aire-sur-l'Adour is situated on the river Adour in the Aquitaine region of south-western France and was once home to the kings of the Visigoths. It lies 28 kms from Mont-de-Marsan, the departments capital and 35 km from Maubourguet. Aire-sur-l'Adour thrived in the middle ages thanks to its position on the river and it's road links and is now known for it's world heritage site church, food (particularly foie gras) and historical monuments.
