Bourges Cathedral is built on the Gallo-Roman remains of the old city. The present Cathedral was built as a replacement for a mid 11th century structure, traces of which survive in the crypt. The cathedral is built in a high-Gothic style, with very tall pillars and large stained glass windows. The whole process of building spanned over more than 70 years. Nowadays, it is an architectural wonder and must not be missed. Admission fees for the cathedral are free for everybody.

The collection was established in 1986 and now contains 250 pelargonium species and 1100 cultivars. It is the largest collection in France. It is a place, where you can relax and enjoy a breath of fresh air.

Palais Jacques Coeur is located in Bourges and it was built in mid 15th century and is one of the most beautiful examples of Gothic civic architecture in France. The unadorned western facade, build on the Gallo-Roman town walls, contrasts starkly with the richly decorated eastern facade overlooking the street. The Palais Jacques Coeur is the perfect example of the Flamboyant style of the late Middle Ages and its attention to the comfort of the inhabitants prefigures the great residences of the Renaissance.
