The Chateau des Rohan (Rohan Castle) is one of the most important monuments and landmarks of Saverne. The chateau was constructed during 1780 and 1790 in an impressive Neoclassicism architectural style and features a 140-meter wide facade. The castle now serves as a youth hostel in one of its wings and as a 500 seat theater and concert hall in the other wing. The chateau is also listed as a Historic Monument of France as of 1933.

The Chateau vieux is a former castle in Saverne, dating back to the 15th century. This is another great sight in the city you should visit. Right next to the chateau is a Roman Catholic church, also built in the 15th century . Several other historical buildings are also located here. Other castles you can visit in the vicinity are Haut-Barr, Greifenstein and Grand Geroldseck, which are unfortunately ruined.

La roseraie is a worldwide renowned rose garden in Saverne. The garden features more than 550 varieties of roses, which look and smell spectacular, providing visitors with the chance to delight their senses. The garden is also home to the annual International Contest of New Roses .
