Voreppe is a commune in the Isere department in south eastern France. There are several assumptions regarding the name and the etymology of Voreppe. For some, its names dates back to the Roman period, for others it might of Celtic origin. The first farmers are believed to have settled in Voreppe in the third millennium BC at the foot of the cliffs. In the fourteenth century, a new borough replaced the old village and the place started to develop. Museum of Grenoble is located in Grenoble, at a 10 minute from Voreppe. The museum offers a history of western 13th century by 21st century, with each period of the first works plan. The building was rebuilt in the 13th century. Some remarkable examples of Renaissance art can be found in the cathedral, including a 15th Ciborium in the flamboyant Gothic style.
