Fellbach is a mid sized town on the north east border of Stuttgart in Baden Wurttemberg. With a population of approximately 43.700 as of December 2003 it is the second largest town in the District Rems Murr Keis. Fellbach was first mentioned as Velbach in 1121. It was called Vellebach in 1357 and the name Fellbach was used in around 1800. After World War II it reached a population of more than 20.000 in 1950 and it got the status as Grosse Kreisstadt. Most of the landmarks that pertain to Fellbach are to be found in the neighbouring city of Stuttgart.

Old Castle is a wonderful castle located in Stuttgart, near Fellbach. The castle is located in the centre of Stuttgart and it dates back to the 10th century. The first castle dated back to around 950 when Stuttgart was a settlement for breeding horses. In 1931, the castle was severely damaged by a fire and before it could be restores it was damaged by bombing in the Second World War. The castle was finally renovated in 1969. It is a wonderful place to get a glimpse of the German history and civilisation.
The Stiftkirche Stuttgart is an inner city church in Stuttgart, near Fellbach. It is the main church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wurttemberg. Structures of a small Romanesque church from the 10th and 11th centuries could recently be traced as having been exactly in today's church outline. Towards the end of the Second World War, the chuch was heavily destroyed by the bombing raids on Stuttgart in 1944.
