Schloss Cecilienhof is a palace in the northern part of Potsdam, close to the Jungfernsee lake. The palace was the last one built by the Hohenzollern family and it was designed to look like an English Tudor country house. Today, Cecilienhof is a museum as well as a hotel. Cecilienhof is famous, because it was here that the Potsdam Conference was held in 1945.

The Roman Baths in Potsdam reflect the long for Italy of its creator, Frederick William IV of Prussia. There are various Roman and antiquated Italian styles melded into the architectural ensemble created between 1829 and 1840. The names of the rooms connote a mixture of antique villas and Roman baths. The atrium, the courtyard of a Roman house, is the reception area. There is also an artificial lake created, where tourists can walk and enjoy the building and the nature.

Orangery Palace in Potsdam is another wonderful place that must not be missed. It was built by Friedrick Wilhelm IV, from 1851 to 1864. The middle building with its twin towers is the actual castle. Behind the portico, in the middle building, lies the over two story tall Raffael Hall. It was based on the Sala Regia in the Vatican. Over a large skylight in the high clouded ceiling, light falls into the Museum Hall. It is a great place where you can relax and enjoy culture at the same time.
