Antequera is a charming city and municipality in Spain, located in the Andalusia autonomous community, in the province of Malaga. It is centrally located among Malaga, Seville, Cordoba, and Granada, so it is also known as "the heart of Andalusia". The history of Antequera goes back to the ancient Roman times, when it was known as Antikaria. However, several town sites attest that the area was inhabited long before that.
