The Market Square is dominated by the opulent facade of the Town Hall of Bremen. The building was erected between 1405 and 1410 in Gothic style, but the facade was built two centuries later in Renaissance style. The Town Hall is the seat of the President of the Senate of Bremen. Today, it hosts a restaurant in original decor with gigantic wine barrels.

Bremen Cathedral is one of the main cathedrals in Bremen, situated in the market square in the center of the town. The remaining beautifully hand carved choir stalls from 1365 is still be found in one of the chapels. The stone baptismal font dates back to 1229 and has been moved to all parts of the cathedral over the years.

The Universum Bremen is a science museum in Bremen Germany. Visitors are encouraged to interact with most of the approximately 250 exhibits. Covering over 4000 square meters the exhibition contains displays related to one of the three topics: mankind, earth and cosmos. The science center resembles a mixture a whale and mussel.

Rhododendron Park Bremen is a very nice park in Bremen with a major collection of rhododendron and azaleas, as well as a substantial botanical garden. It is open daily, park admission is free but a fee is charged for Botanika. The Botanical Garden dates to 1905 when it was created by businessman Ernst Franz Schutte at a different site. The park has many types of azaleas and rhododendron in the botanical garden.
