Kunsthalle Hamburg is an art museum located right across the Hamburg Railway Station and its main focus in on German 14th century paintings, 16th and 17th century Flemish and Dutch artists, 19th century French and German artists as well as modern and contemporary art. The museum houses an important collection of painting from the 19th century with works from Max Lieberman, Lovis Corinth, Phillip Otto Runge, and Adolf Menzel, as well as Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee or Max Beckmann. The Museum has also got several cafes in the gallery, including a bistro with a nice view of the Binnenalster.
The Museum of Arts and Crafts is a museum of fine, applied and decorative arts, located centrally near Hamburg Railway Station. The main collections of the museum include historic keyboard instruments, faience and porcelain, Islamic art, Japanese tea house, Art Nouveau furniture and exhibits, and Modern expressionist works. Other collections include baroque figurines, items for Far east, design, photography and antique pottery.
Hamburg City Hall is the town hall of Hamburg and is located near Hamburg Railway Station. Constructed from 1886 to 1897, the city hall still houses its original governmental functions with the office of the First Mayor of Hamburg and the meeting rooms for Hamburg's parliament and senate.
