Nazare is a beautiful city in Portugal, located more exactly in the subregion of Oeste. The history of Nazare goes back to the 4th century, when the area was settled. The Church of Nossa Senhora da Nazare is the most important religious site in Nazare. The church was founded in the 14th century by King Fernando I of Portugal. The church is a fine example of Baroque architecture and has splendid tiles on its interior. The statue of our Lady of Nazare is also located here.
