Lamezia Terme, or simply Lamezia, is a nice city in Italy, located more exactly within the Calabria region, in the province of Catanzaro. The history of Lamezia Terme goes back to 1968, when it was formally created. However, the city's origins trace back to the 9th century, when the Calabria region was part of the Byzantine Empire. The territory on which Lamezia Terme stands today includes those of the former municipalities of Sant'Eufemia Lamezia, Nicastro, and Sambiase.
