Basilica of San Gaudenzio is a beautiful church in Novara. It is the highest point in the city and dedicated to Gaudentius of Novara. The church was built between 1577 and 1690 following the destruction of the old Basilica, ordered by Emperor Charles V. The Basilica itself was built by Pellegrino Tibaldi. A visit to the church and to the top of it is well worth. From atop, tourists can take in the amazing view.
Novara Cathedral. Although from the outside the cathedral looks like a library, inside tourists will change their opinion. The construction of the church began in the 11th century and consecrated in 1132. The baptistry is a separate structure although functionally part of the cathedral. It is a palaeo-Christian building dating from the 4th and 5th centuries.
Piazza Giacomo Matteotti is one of the most famous plazas in Novara. The landmark feature of this palace is its clock tower. Extending from this square is the via Fratelli Rosselli, along which is the Palazzo Cabrino, the official seat of the administrative offices of the city.
Festival Giovani Espressioni is a great festival that takes place yearly in Novara. This is a musical festival for emerging young musicians, organised by Staff Millennium, a performance agency.
