Ravenna is a beautiful city and commune in Italy, located more exactly within the Romagna region, in the Ravenna province, being the capital city of the province at the same time. The history of Ravenna goes back to the Roman times, when it was the capital city of the Western Roman Empire from 402 until the empire collapsed. Then, it was the capital of the Kindgom of the Ostrogoths. Ravenna is an island city, but it is connected to the Adriatic Sea by the Canadino Canal.
