The Mole Antonelliana is a major landmark in Turin. Located in the historic centre of Turin in the Vanchiglia neighbourhood is named after the architect who built it, Alessandro Antonelli. The solid bottom is constructed of masonry and has a square base and above it stands a dome. The construction of the Mole began in 1863, the site of one of the bastions forming the walls of the city then demolished by order of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Piazza San Carlo in Turin was designed by Carlo di Castellmonte in 1642 and completed in 1650. In the middle of the piazza you will find the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto, sculpted by Carlo Marochetti in 1838. The porticoed buildings surrounding the piazza give space to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants.

The Duke Emanuele Filiberto had the church dedicated to the Saint after the victory of the Battle of San Quintino.
